SUMMARY:Florian Bernlochner (Bonn) "Fantastic Bs and where to find them! "
DESCRIPTION:Abstract: \nThe Belle II Experiment is a next generation SuperB factory that aims to discover new physics phenomena at the highest intensities. It started its first physics run in 2019 and will until the end of 2021 collect a data set comparable to what the previous B-Factory experiments recorded during a decade-long run. I will review the current status\, point out the contributions my group is strongly involved in\, and provide an outlook for the summer conferences 2021. \nhttp://physics.lbl.gov/rpm/index.php/events/ \nIf you are looking to confirm if there is an event\, due to room reservation\, please go to RPM website for a list of all scheduled talks.\n──────────\nTroy Cortez is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting. \nJoin Zoom Meeting\nhttps://lbnl.zoom.us/j/91782268585 \nMeeting ID: 917 8226 8585\nOne tap mobile\n+16699006833\,\,91782268585# US (San Jose)\n+13462487799\,\,91782268585# US (Houston) \nDial by your location\n+1 669 900 6833 US (San Jose)\n+1 346 248 7799 US (Houston)\n+1 253 215 8782 US (Tacoma)\n+1 646 558 8656 US (New York)\n+1 301 715 8592 US (Germantown)\n+1 312 626 6799 US (Chicago)\nMeeting ID: 917 8226 8585\nFind your local number: https://lbnl.zoom.us/u/abeLb1T4q1 \nJoin by SIP\n91782268585@zoomcrc.com \nJoin by H.323\n162.255.37.11 (US West)\n162.255.36.11 (US East)\n115.114.131.7 (India Mumbai)\n115.114.115.7 (India Hyderabad)\n213.19.144.110 (EMEA)\n103.122.166.55 (Australia)\n64.211.144.160 (Brazil)\n69.174.57.160 (Canada)\n207.226.132.110 (Japan)\nMeeting ID: 917 8226 8585 \n──────────

SUMMARY:Mariel Pettee (Yale University) "The Search for VH (V → Leptons\, H → 𝜏𝜏) with the ATLAS Experiment in Run 2"
DESCRIPTION:Abstract: \n\nAs part of a comprehensive plan to investigate the many combinations of production and decay of the Standard Model Higgs boson using the full Run 2 ATLAS dataset at the LHC\, I will present a search for the SM Higgs boson produced in association with a leptonically-decaying vector boson (i.e. a W or Z boson) and decaying into a pair of tau leptons. Efficient identification of hadronically-decaying tau leptons at the trigger level is essential to this analysis\, so I will also discuss my technical work in deploying an RNN-based tau identification scheme in the ATLAS High-Level Trigger (HLT) in Run 2. Lastly\, I will show highlights of my independent AI work in leading teams of researchers across academia and industry to pioneer the state-of-the-art in AI-generated choreography using techniques including Variational Autoencoders (VAEs) and Graph Neural Networks (GNNs). \n\n\n\nhttp://physics.lbl.gov/rpm/index.php/events/ \nIf you are looking to confirm if there is an event\, due to room reservation\, please go to RPM website for a list of all scheduled talks. \n──────────\nTroy Cortez is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting. \nJoin Zoom Meeting\nhttps://lbnl.zoom.us/j/95547677630 \nMeeting ID: 955 4767 7630\nOne tap mobile\n+16699006833\,\,95547677630# US (San Jose)\n+12532158782\,\,95547677630# US (Tacoma) \nDial by your location\n+1 669 900 6833 US (San Jose)\n+1 253 215 8782 US (Tacoma)\n+1 346 248 7799 US (Houston)\n+1 312 626 6799 US (Chicago)\n+1 646 558 8656 US (New York)\n+1 301 715 8592 US (Washington D.C)\nMeeting ID: 955 4767 7630\nFind your local number: https://lbnl.zoom.us/u/ady5iTj2aJ \nJoin by SIP\n95547677630@zoomcrc.com \nJoin by H.323\n162.255.37.11 (US West)\n162.255.36.11 (US East)\n115.114.131.7 (India Mumbai)\n115.114.115.7 (India Hyderabad)\n213.19.144.110 (Amsterdam Netherlands)\n213.244.140.110 (Germany)\n103.122.166.55 (Australia)\n64.211.144.160 (Brazil)\n69.174.57.160 (Canada)\n207.226.132.110 (Japan)\nMeeting ID: 955 4767 7630 \n──────────
