TITLE: Status of the Mu2e experiment at Fermilab
ABSTRACT: The Mu2e experiment, currently under construction at Fermilab, will search for the charged-lepton flavor violating (CLFV) neutrino-less conversion of a negative muon into an electron in the field of a nucleus. It aims to achieve a four-orders of magnitude improvement in sensitivity over previous experiments, allowing it to probe new physics at mass scales up to 10^4 TeV. In this talk I will present the current status of the experiment, improvements to the track reconstruction algorithm, and results from vertical slice tests of the straw tracker.
