Title: Studying neutrinos in high definition with LAr
Abstract: This talk explores recent advancements in neutrino physics, with a focus on innovative detector technologies developed for the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE). It delves into the use of Liquid Argon Time Projection Chambers (LArTPCs), discussing the challenges associated with the Anode Plane Assembly’s (APA) quality control and how the Digital Wire Analyzer (DWA) has improved the efficiency of wire tension testing. Additionally, the presentation introduces the Q-Pix readout architecture, a promising approach to pixelated detection that streamlines data handling and enhances studies of supernova neutrinos. Simulation results highlight Q-Pix’s potential to improve event reconstruction, extend detection capabilities, and reduce data demands, offering exciting possibilities for future kiloton-scale neutrino experiments.
